Five Things I Live by in My 40s
Creativity isn’t a special gift reserved for the special, but a life-giving practice for everyone.
My 20s were bright-eyed fun, filled with passion for work, world traveling and exploring, meeting new people in new cultures, and learning and growing in my Christian faith.
My 30s was becoming a wife, and mom, putting aside things I thought I had figured out, and searching for life’s meaning and calling.
I turned 41 last month. I had a simple celebration with my family and a heart full of gratitude.
From working in a startup nonprofit branch to a freelance surface pattern designer, from being single and broke (but having a lot of fun) to being a mom and running a household, from graduating from a university in my hometown to living in multiple countries, I have learned so much in the past twenty years.
Today, I want to briefly share five things I live by in my 40s. In the following weeks, I’ll unpack each point and share more of my personal experiences. Sounds good? I hope you’ll sign up and join along.

Be truthful to who you are, and you will attract the right people

Find and identify your people in real life before you find your people on the internet
Plan your time and money

I think the 5 things are quite self-explanatory. I hope they will give you some food to thought. I’ll take each point further in my future posts.
And because you are reading this, I'm happy to tell you that I made a beautiful printable postcard for you with my latest pattern design. You can print it out, and gift it to your loved ones. For a limited time, you can download it by clicking the button below.
